theJEDMAN NATION-A New Wave Manifesto

Documenting the JED Experience

I think this whole immigration thing has gotten way out of hand. Mr. Bush expects all the immigrants to speak English now. You would think one his advisors would tell him that it takes a long time to learn English. It can take many years to be able to function. Also, unless you speak English clearly, without an accent and you don't mess up any word order, only then will most Americans accept you as an English speaker. This is what I've gotten out of Mr. Bush's message. For immingrants to learn to function in speaking English, we Americans must help them. We must have patience and help people to speak English. We have to talk to them all the time to give them impute to help them learn. It would not hurt most Americans to learn a few phrases of another language to help a speaker in that language feel comfortable in this country. Most of the time a lot of Americans will dismiss someone who struggles in speaking English. We can't do this Mr. Bush if you want people to learn. I've been dismissed trying to speak Spanish. It sucks. It makes you want to give up. I'm kind of biased because I work with non-English speakers all the time. The bottom line Mr. Bush is we have to help non-English speakers by speaking to them. theJEDMAN

I bought some pomegranate juice the other day. It is all the rage right now. I read in two different places how it helps circulation in your heart. So, I drink it sometimes. I get the expensive kind at the store. I've paid 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 dollars for beer. I can buy a $4 juice a couple times a week. Anyway, at the check out counter. The woman asked me if I had tried the peach passion ice tea from the some line of products. I told her that I try to never drink anything with PASSION in the name. It was intense. There is always a big fireworks show in the JOCO close to where I live. On the 4th I was out walking. I stop by this coffee shop on my walk because they have that expensive juice that I like. I noticed on the door that they were closing at 5 pm. I told them they were crazy for not being open tonight. This parking lot will be full of people for the fireworks. Plus, there will be about 30,000 people in the area tonight. It is the only day of the year like this. They thanked me for my advice. Anyway, later that night I was across the street watching the fireworks and low and behold this shop was open. I felt like going over there and asking for 5% of the profits as a consultant. The fireworks started about 9:30. The sprinklers for the lawn by the office building I was sitting on came on about 9:29. I got splashed. The life of theJEDMAN is always intense. theJEDMAN

I'm leaving manana to go on my 3 country tour this summer. I'm going to Texas, Mexico and California. I know two of the three are not countries, but they have the big country attitude. It should be intense. The life of theJEDMAN is always intense. theJEDMAN
