theJEDMAN NATION-A New Wave Manifesto

Documenting the JED Experience

Wednesday, September 14, 2005

For the first time since Thanksgiving weekend 1986, I did not attend the regular season NFL football game in my city. My ticket was somehow taken away. I've been freeloading all this time and I guess my streak of almost 20 years has come to an end. I watched the game at home by myself. I feel like my hamstring was cut on the bottom just above my knee. I can't plant and cut anymore. I feel like I quit the game. I'll get over it. Plus, the section wear my old seat was won the free pizza this week. theJEDMAN

I went in on some tickets to the Jayhawk Football 05, because basketball season is just to pass the time until Jayhawk spring football practice starts. As part of the package, I have two youth tickets to every game. I don't like to be around youths, so I've been giving the tickets away for free to people with youths. I was doing that on Saturday some official KU guy came up to me and called me a scalper. I kept telling him that I was giving the tickets away. He still called me a scalper and told me to get lost. It hurt my feelings. I'm not a scalper. I was trying to do a random act of kindness. This guy was promoting bad customer service policy. On the ticket is says that tickets cannot be resold for higher than face value. A sign by the stadium said that tickets cannot be for resale. I was not selling. I was giving. KU has really gotten full of itself. They keep upsetting all the fans. theJEDMAN
